The Dove in Bury St Edmunds celebrated tapping it’s 4000th firkin of Woodforde’s beer on Wednesday 15th August.

All customers that purchased a pint of Woodforde’s beer during the celebration event claimed a square on the prize board in the pub. Prizes included a trip to the Fur & Feather on the Norfolk Broads, a tour of the brewery, flagons of ale and hampers of Woodforde’s merchandise.

Landlord Roger Waters bought the freehold of the Dove in August 2009 and has stocked Woodforde’s beers weekly for the last 9 years. The traditional pub is a firm favourite with locals as well as customers from further afield, often making a trip to the pub to see what selection Roger has on each week. He is keen to support both large and small breweries. Our core offering, Wherry is available for customers to enjoy every week and Roger has also bought all of the core and seasonal ales throughout his time as rotational specials.

Tania Wreathall, Business Development Manager at Woodforde’s says: “We are so pleased to be able to support Roger and The Dove in this way. He is a great guy who owns a great pub and we’ve had a brilliant relationship for some time. The night was an amazing success and the beer and atmosphere was enjoyed by punters left, right and centre!”

We are proud to support the local community and pubs across the country. Our homeland of Norfolk has always taught us to encourage and embrace a community spirit, and we’ll always look to spread this further afield.
