March Seasonal - Admiral Reserve

A multi-award-winning mainstay of our seasonal offerings is returning to cask this month.

Inspired by Norfolk’s most famous son, we are pleased to announce Admiral’s Reserve as March’s seasonal beer.

Like every good captain, Lord Nelson would reserve the best on board and stow it away in his cabin – and Admiral’s Reserve would be no exception.

The 5% premium ale features rich fruit flavours that together with sweet malted barley and rye culminate in an increasingly bitter finish with nutty almond notes.

It was crowned Champion Beer of East Anglia in 2009 and is always quick to sell out when stocked behind the bar.

James Ramm, Woodforde’s Head of Sales, said: “Admiral’s Reserve is a true Woodforde’s classic and it’s great to welcome it back to cask once again.

“The beer has a wealth of different flavours and leaves a great finish on the palette, so it’s no surprise it always proves popular during its annual return.

On top of its 2009 award win, Admiral’s Reserve also took home Bronze in the 2011 SIBA Beer Competition, and Silver in the Brewing Industry International Awards that same year.
